It’s not just a folk punk

Here’s one of my favorite band who never failed to amuse me with their music that any kind of music lover could relate to whether you are a fan of different genres of music, from punk, rock, alternative, pop, blues, folk and others.  The band The Gaslight Anthem has been generally labeled as ‘one of the punk underground’s most celebrated acts’.   But for me their songs are too unique to be plainly labeled as such. With their songs greatly influenced by Springsteen and Tom Petty, they produced songs than would touch on different genre from folk to punk to rock to alternative. In short, their albums are worth it to be in everybody’s rack of albums.

My top picks for this albums are The 59′ Sound, Film Noir and Casanova, Baby! If you knew Springsteen’s songs, you will noticed that The 59′ Sound has lots of lines contained in Springsteen’s songs like Born in the USA and Streets of Philadelphia
